Protect Your GPS

One of the most useful places you can use a GPS system is in your car. How many times have we all gotten lost and wish we had someone or something to tell us exactly where to go? How much time would we save if we never got lost again? Unfortunately, there is a dark side to using a GPS system in your car: theft! Leaving your GPS in your car after you park makes you a prime target for car prowls. In these tough economic times, thieves are more desperate for quick cash, and smash-and-grab crimes are on the rise. They often take less than 60 seconds to complete, and since most prowls occur between midnight and 6 a.m., most people don’t discover their car window smashed and GPS gone until they go to work in the morning.

My friend was recently the victim of a car prowl. She left her Garmin dash mount GPS in her car, in full view of any passerby. One morning she discovered that it was missing, and her driver’s side window was shattered. Not only did she have to buy a new GPS, but she had to have her window replaced. If you invest in a high-quality system, recovering from a car prowl is especially costly. Do yourself a favor to prevent this crime and never leave your GPS or any other valuables in your car – even hiding it in a glove box or the trunk isn’t a guarantee that it will be safe.

Helpful Tips for Getting in Shape

When it comes to getting in shape, summer is no doubt the season. People want to lose a few pounds to spend time at the beach and look good in their swimsuit, or just take advantage of the warmer weather to exercise outside. The best part of getting in shape in summer is, it doesn’t take all that long to lose a few pounds at the beginning of summer, and then spend the rest in grandeur. While it’s a good idea to avoid all the “miracle diets” that boast losing several pounds in the first week, dropping ten to fifteen pounds in a six week span is not out of the question. While most health experts recommend weight loss of about one pound per week, losing more is possible for the person who is dedicated to the task at hand.

For exercise, it will be important to exercise five times per week for about one to two hours. This might sound like a lot, but most everyone can block out an hour of their day for fitness, even if it’s in the morning or right before bed. It doesn’t matter so much what kind of exercise it is, as long as it’s rigorous physical activity. Hiring a personal trainer helps a lot, but of course, purchasing an electronic trainer like the Garmin Edge 205 GPS can work much better for those wanting to save on cost. It’s also important to diet and eat right to lose weight. Eat lots of greens, drink tea instead of coffee, avoid sugars and fats, and it’s hard to go wrong. Get an ideal body before the middle of summer, and reap the rewards thereafter!

Benefits of the Garmin Nuvi 370

The Garmin Nuvi 370 is one of the most versatile GPS systems on the market.  This handheld GPS functions much like a travel assistant rather than a computer.  The Garmin Nuvi 370 GPS features Bluetooth wireless technology, and allows for hands free mobile phone calls.  The touch keypad on the Nuvi 370 has a great interface, allowing for ease of use.  The Nuvi 370 can also find numbers of hotels, restaurants, and all kinds of stores with just the touch of a button, and then call the number!  When it comes to traffic, the Nuvi 370 makes it a cinch.  This handheld GPS can navigate around traffic, and even provide updates of changing traffic conditions ahead.  The display screen on the Garmin Nuvi 370 is the right size and has a clear picture.

Overall, there’s no better handheld GPS out there than the Garmin Nuvi 370 GPS.  Whether it’s used by a bike messenger, a businessman, or just a person who often finds themselves lost in the city, it’s an ideal navigation device.

Map Accuracy is Important!

There’s nothing worse than having an inaccurate map when you’re driving to a place you’ve never been.  The truth is, road maps are often outdated fast as new roads are built in suburban areas.  You might not even be able to find a neighborhood or freeway exit if you’re looking on a road map that is a few months old.  In these circumstances, a Garmin GPS device is far superior.  Garmin maps are updated all the time, so there’s never a worry that you won’t be able to find a recent development or road.  In addition, with a Garmin GPS device you can rest assured knowing that you never need to purchase an updated roadmap again.  Your Garmin GPS can also help you to plot out a course to your destination, ensuring that you’ll never be lost again!

With Garmin maps, you know that you are receiving the latest in contemporary GPS quality and you’ll never need to rely on a road map again.  You can also use your Garmin GPS for backpacking, hiking, boating, or anytime when you need directions.  It’s the device for navigation regardless of location!

Friends New to Town

Recently I had a couple friends move in from out of town, and I wanted to get them a nice gift to help them become acclimated with the area.  I figured I could show them all the spots I like to hang out, but one of the best parts about being in a new area is finding your own hangout spots.  I ended up buying my friends a Garmin eTrex Legend GPS as a housewarming gift.  The GPS is great for navigating the city, and also for taking trips to the neighboring areas.

My friends ended up loving their new GPS, within a couple weeks they had already found spots in the city that I didn’t even know about, and wish I did!  In addition, it’s nice to know that they won’t need to call me if they become lost in the suburbs (a common thing that happens to me when I’m elsewhere).

Night Clubbing with the Fellas

My friends and I all work at different jobs, and throughout the week, we get stressed out and tired (as most people do!).  When Friday comes, all we want to do is hit the town and let loose.  I bought a new car recently, and had a Garmin city navigator installed.  I figured it would be helpful for those situations when I needed to head out into the suburbs or on those rare occasions when I traveled, but I never expected it to become part of our Friday night ritual.  When I bought the city navigator, I didn’t realize it could also locate restaurants, bars, and even social clubs in the heart of the city.  My friends and I found some great new spots that we hit up regularly on Friday night all through my Garmin city navigator.

For anyone who likes to let loose or finds themselves in those awkward social situations where everyone is asking “where should we go?”, I recommend this handy GPS device.  You’re sure to have a blast with your in-depth knowledge of all the hot spots!
